Waterway Construction of Weicun Hub Expansion and Reconstruction Project (Section WCSN-SG-HD1)

Project Brief:

The main works of Section WCSN-SG-HD1 include the construction and warranty of above-water excavation, underwater dredging, earth backfilling, new revetment construction, soft soil foundation treatment, new flood control dike construction, and other related temporary projects for the upper approach channel (chainage: 0K+000～0K+722), lower approach channel (chainage: 3K+331～3K+632), and downstream mooring anchorage (chainage: 4K+777～5K+364) of the Weicun Hub Expansion and Reconstruction Project. Specifically:(1) The total length of the newly-built revetments (slope protection) in the connecting section of the upper approach channel is 1,342 meters. Among them, the 139-meter-long revetments on both sides of the pipeline bridge adopt a single-row pile structure; the rest of the sections are constructed with geotextile bag concrete slope protection according to the existing terrain.(2) The revetments in the connecting section of the lower approach channel adopt a steel sheet pile anchor structure with a total length of 292 meters.(3) The shoreline length of the downstream remote control station and mooring anchorage is 500 meters. A 2-meter-wide pedestrian path with a total length of approximately 500 meters is arranged behind the revetments of the downstream remote control station and anchorage. A new flood control dike is built behind the revetments, with a 6-meter-wide dike-top road on the top.
