Nanjing Hang-Wu Waterway Engineering Co., Ltd. was established in 1994 and is of the economic nature of a joint-stock limited company. It was initially affiliated to the Waterway Administration of Nanjing Transportation Bureau. In the early stage of its business, it was under the overall guidance of the Waterway Bureau of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Transportation. In September 2004, the company completed a comprehensive restructuring, transforming from an affiliated institution of a public institution into a market-oriented private enterprise, optimizing its equity structure, and officially participating in market competition for projects while retaining its core business advantages such as waterway maintenance.
The company focuses on the dual core businesses of "water conservancy and canal construction + infrastructure". Its business scope covers provinces including Jiangsu, Anhui, Fujian, Guangdong, Hubei, and Zhejiang. It expanded into the Guangdong market in 2024, with Jiangsu Province remaining its core market. The company mainly undertakes a large number of water conservancy and canal maintenance projects and special engineering projects. Since its restructuring, it has maintained strong professional competitiveness in the regional canal engineering sector, boasting rich experience in dredging, river regulation, water conservancy irrigation, and terminal supporting facilities.
